The National Center for Farmworker Health (NCFH), North Carolina Community Health Center Association (NCCHCA) and Northwest Regional Primary Care Association (NWRPCA) is hosting the first Virtual Forum for Migrant and Community Health! The National Center for Farmworker Health (NCFH), North Carolina Community Health Center Association (NCCHCA) and Northwest Regional Primary Care Association (NWRPCA) collaborative invites you to submit an abstract for consideration to present at the 2021 Virtual Forum for Migrant and Community Health.

General Information: The 2021 Virtual Forum for Migrant and Community Health, will be hosted virtually March 22 -26, 2020. The Forum for Migrant and Community Health provides education and training, information and resource sharing, coalition building, and program and policy development for community centered health professionals and their partners.

Abstract Notification: Notifications of selected abstracts for the 2021 Virtual Forum for Migrant and Community Health will be sent, via email, in December to all listed presenters. We will need your acceptance confirmation within 14 days of your acceptance email. If more than one person is presenting, please identify the primary presenter on the application form. The primary presenter will receive all correspondence and will be responsible for sharing all information with their co-presenters. Please try to limit the number of co-presenters to one.

Presenter Honorarium: Each session is eligible for a Presenter Honorarium. Presenter Honorarium will be divided evenly among all eligible session presenters. Presenters will be provided with additional information upon abstract acceptance notification. *Federal employees, HRSA/NTTAPs- National Training and Technical Assistance Partners and FHN organizations WILL NOT receive Presenter Honorarium.

Abstract Selection:Abstracts are peer-reviewed on the basis of quality and clarity of the content, subject relevance (see relevant topics below), and the strength of the learning objectives. Our Organizations prioritize presentations that are interactive and participatory. Abstracts should explain specific activities, methods or techniques that will be used to encourage participation in the session as well as any take home messages and/or tools that will be made available to participants. We encourage popular education model, creative, interactive, and multilingual presentations.

We welcome and encourage abstracts that are relevant to a multi-disciplinary health center team, to include community health workers (CHWs), promotorxs de salud and outreach workers, and other frontline staff, as well as consumer board members.Presentations related to the CHW workforce should include CHWs as presenters and/or have CHWs involved in the creation of the abstract and presentation. Abstracts pertaining to the CHW workforce should describe within the text of the abstract whether CHWs will be presenting and/or the role CHWs played in the development of the abstract and presentation Access to Care for Medically Underserved Populations (Migrant Seasonal Agricultural Workers, Indigenous and/or multilingual communities, LGBTQIA+ communities, Mixed Status communities, Communities experiencing homelessness)

Abstract Proposal

Complete the abstract proposal application, including: the session title, session description, 3 learning objectives (not included in word count), preferred duration of session, language of presentation and audiovisual requirements. Descriptions longer than 150 words will be edited to accommodate the conference program. Submit the proposal along with a resume or curriculum vitae and a short biographical sketch for each presenter.

Proposal must include:

1. Completed abstract with Presentation Needs (language, Participation);
2. Workshop description (150 words maximum for conference program);
3. 3 Learning objectives;
4. CV/Resume of each presenter AND Biographical sketch (150 word maximum) for each presenter.
