The 2022 CHAMPS/NWRPCA Fall Primary Care Conference

Community Health Association of Mountain/Plains States (CHAMPS) and Northwest Regional Primary Care Association (NWRPCA) invite you to submit an abstract for consideration to present at the 2022 CHAMPS/ NWRPCA Fall Primary Care Conference.
General Information: The 2022 CHAMPS/ NWRPCA Fall Primary Care Conference will be in-person and we are looking forward to seeing you in Denver, CO this fall! This will be a traditional in-person event, with plenty of opportunities to reconnect with peers and colleagues. We have also added a number of virtual sessions for those speakers and attendees who are not able to meet in person yet.
This conference will provide the education and training, information and resource sharing, coalition building, and program and policy development it's known for, and we are excited to connect in-person once again.
Health & Safety: Your health and safety are our top priority. It is the policy of CHAMPS/NWRPCA to inform sponsors and exhibitors of any changes to the conference format, including but not limited to transitioning this hybrid conference to take place completely virtually. CHAMPS/NWRPCA continues to monitor the evolving COVID-19 pandemic and the current CDC guidelines, as well as the safety measures of our partners at the event site. We are endeavoring to provide a safe, collaborative experience for all attendees of the 2022 CHAMPS/NWRPCA Fall Primary Care Conference.In keeping with our commitment to model best practices in community health, a COVID-19 vaccination is required to participate in all CHAMPS/NWRPCA-sponsored or hosted in-person events. Exemptions are not being considered at this time. Options to attend virtually will be available to those who cannot meet this requirement. All participants (including Speakers, Exhibitors, Sponsors, Staff, and Attendees) must be up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccinations and will be required to provide proof of vaccinations based on the instructions provided by NWRPCA Education and Training Staff closer to the event.By sponsoring and/or exhibiting, you understand and agree to the health & safety protocols release and liability waiver located here as well as the vaccination requirement.
Audience: The 2022 CHAMPS/ NWRPCA Fall Primary Care Conference is mostly comprised of Community Health Center staff and partners from Regions 8 & 10 states, including Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
Submission Deadline: Friday, July 1, 2022, any abstracts not submitted by that day may not be reviewed.
Abstract Notification: You will be notified by mid-August 2022, via email, whether your abstract is selected.
Abstract Selection: Abstracts are peer-reviewed on the basis of quality and clarity of the content, subject relevance (see relevant topics below), engagement level, and strength of learning objectives. NWRPCA/CHAMPS prioritizes presentations that are interactive and participatory. Abstracts should explain specific activities, methods or techniques that will be used to encourage participation in the session as well as any take home messages and/or tools that will be made available to participants.Abstracts are STRONGLY encouraged to include CHCs as part of the submission.
Strong sessions include the following elements:
- Slide show, videos
- Introduction of presenters, presentation outline, and learning objectives clearly stated at start of session
- Case studies and real-life examples of concepts
- Sharing Best/Promising Practices
- Skills demonstration
- Practical tools for implementation
- Group discussion or peer-to-peer learning
- Utilization of virtual engagement tools such as polling questions, breakout groups, etc.
- Q&A
Relevant Topics: Abstracts should speak to current environment and current programs, practices, and/or policies related to Community Health Centers and Primary Care. For suggested topic, click on the below link. The list is not exhaustive.

Speaker Honorarium*:
Each 75-minute session is eligible for a $300 honorarium. If there is more than one (1) speaker per session, the $300 is divided evenly among all speakers in that session.
Sponsors and Exhibitors do not qualify for an honorarium. If your organization is a sponsor or exhibitor of our Fall Primary Care conference, then the speaker doesn’t qualify to receive honorarium.
*CHAMPS/NWRPCA reserves the right to alter honorarium based on need.

Step 2: Session Abstract
Session Abstract Guidelines:
Abstracts are peer-reviewed and will be evaluated based on quality and clarity of the content, subject relevance, and strength of the learning objectives.
CHAMPS/NWRPCA prioritize presentations that are interactive and participatory. Abstracts should explain specific activities, methods, or techniques that will be used to encourage participation in the session as well as any take home messages and/or tools that will be made available to participants. -
Step 3: Learning Objectives
Please enter one Learning Objective per box. Learning objectives should be clearly stated, measurable, and attainable. Below are examples of acceptable learning objectives:- Assess the health care needs of farmworkers.
- Identify barriers to health care experienced by farmworkers.
- List three best practices for providing health care to farmworkers.

Step 4: Session Description
The Session Description should be a short summary of the Session Abstract. It will be used for inclusion in the conference program and related marketing materials if the abstract is selected. -
Step 5: Presenters
One primary presenter is required.- Search for a presenter you would like to add by using email address or last name to find the names of presenters in the database.

Step 6: Resume
All presenters are required to upload a resume. -
Step 7: Confirmation
- Review your submission on this page.
- If you are satisfied, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the 'Conclude Submission' button.
- If you would like to edit something, click the step you would like to edit on the left-hand menu on your screen. Please note that you are able to go back and edit your submission until the submission deadline.
